  • WORKINGS CONSIST OF A 5-COMPARTMENT, 18-FT. BY 9-FT SHAFT, AND SEVERAL THOUSAND FEET OF DRIFTS. A 46-INCH HOLE, CASED TO 36 INCHES, WAS DRILLED SOUTH OF THE SHAFT TO USE FOR VENTILATION AND AS AN ESCAPEWAY BUT IT COLLAPSED AT THE 150-FT LEVEL AFTER THE MUD WAS PUMPED OUT. IN 1958 THE MINE WATER FLOW WAS 475 6PM. HOLMQUIST GIVES AN EXCELLENT DESPRIPTION OF THE MINE WORKINGS (1970, P.81-83).
