  • SHAFT REPORTED TO BE 33 FEET BELOW THE FLOOR OF THE PIT (25 FEET); BEFORE 1906 MINE HAD OPEN CUT 9M TO 12M WIDE, 30M LONG AND 7.5M DEEP; WORKED AGAIN IN 1931 TO 1933

  • THE MINE WAS FIRST WORKED PRIOR IN THE 189'S. IT WAS WORKED AGAIN FROM 1931 TO 1933, DURING THIS TIME, A DIAMOND DRILLING PROGRAM WAS CARRIED OUT; FROM 1931 TO 1933 FOURTEEN CORE HOLES WERE DRILLED. SEVERAL DIAMOND DRILL HOLES WERE COMPLETED DURING A SAMPLING PROGRAM IN THE LATE 1980'S BY NICOR CORPORATION.

Deposit MINERALIZED ZONE ARE BLEACHED AND SILICIFIED AND CONTAIN AURIFEROUS PYRITE ANDuPYRRHOTITE. THE MAGNESIAN ALTERATION IS TYPICAL OF THATuASSOCIATED WITH ALTERATION PIPES BELOW MASSIVE SULFIDE DEPOSITS.
