  • THE GROUP OF CLAIMS ARE THOROUGHLY PROSPECTED BY TUNNELS, SHAFTS, DRIFTS, WINZES, AND DISCOVERY CUTS. ABOUT 2500 FT OF UNDER GROUND WORK HAS BEEN COMPLETED ON THE PROPERTIES. THE MONITOR MINE IS THE MOST EXTENSIVELY DEVELOPED OF THE GROUP. THE SHAFT WAS SUNK ON THE CENTRAL VEIN OF THE CLAIM. SOUTH OF THE MAIN SHAFT, ANOTHER SHAFT WAS SUNK ABOUT 20 FT. ALSO PRESENT ON THE MONITOR CLAIM ARE 3 SMALL SURFACE CUTS AND TWO OTHER TUNNES, ON THE RICHMOND, DEWEY, TUCSON, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CUMBERLAND AND MERRIMAC CLAIMS, VARIOUS SHAFTS, AND UNDERGROUND WORKINGS HAVE BEEN DONE. SOME SOURCES REFER TO THESE CLAIMS AS MINES, IE DEWEY MINE, MERRIMAC MINE ETC.
