  • ACCORDING TO SEARS (1919), THERE ARE TWO PROSPECTS ABOUT 150 M APART ON A LINE TRENDING N 10 W, ON THE SIDE OF AN EASTWARD-SLOPING HILL, WEST OF THE ROAD BETWEEN SARDINAL AND SAN BLAS, ABOUT 1.5 KM S OF SARDINAL, NEAR THE HOUSE OF JUSTO PERRI. THE DEPOSIT NEAREST THE HOUSE IS EXPOSED IN A SMALL CUT AT THE BASE OF THE HILL, ON THE N BANK OF A DRY GULLY. THE OTHER PROSPECT CONSISTS OF FLOAT S OF THE CUT.

  • SEARS (1919) STATES THAT THE CUT HAS A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF MATERIAL, AND THAT THE EXPOSURE OF FLOAT BOULDERS HAS SOME BOULDERS WEIGHING OVER HALF A TON, WITH A TOTAL OF SEVERAL HUNDRED TONS OF ORE IN SIGHT. ROBERTS (1944) CLAIMS THAT THE PROSPECTS HAVE NO COMMERCIAL VALUE.

Deposit ACCORDING TO SEARS (1919), THE ORE AT THE SMALL CUT IS IN A SMALL POCKET AND THE MATERIAL AT THE OTHER EXPOSURE CONSISTS OF FLOAT BOULDERS SCATTERED OVER A ZONE 12-15 M WIDE AND 45 M HIGH ALONG THE SLOPE OF THE HILL. ROBERTS (1944) STATES THAT BOTH OREBODIES ARE LENTICULAR; ONE IS 7.6 M LONG AND 3 M WIDE, THE OTHER IS 10.7 M LONG AND 4.6 M WIDE. OXIDES REPLACE ALTERED IGNEOUS ROCK.
