  • ROVE (1926) STATES THAT THIS ADIT AND ANOTHER ADIT UPSLOPE (AND NO LONGER IN EVIDENCE) WAS DRIVEN IN EFFORT TO LOCATE THE SO-CALLED WHIPPOORWILL LEAD - A ZONE OF GOLD-BEARING QUARTZ VEINS.
