  • ORIGINALLY LOCATED BY JAMES W. MARSHALL; ACTIVE DURING 1890'S. MINE WORKED FOR POCKET GOLD DURING 1930'S AND SEVERAL FINE SPECIMENS OF CRYSTALLIZED GOLD WERE FOUND. MOST OF THE ORE WAS LOW-GRADE WITH AVERAGE VALUES FROM $1.75 TO $2.25 PER TON. THE DEPOSIT IS ON THE MOTHER LODE BELT IN MARIPOSA SLATE. CLAIM COMPRISES 10.33 ACRES AND IS JOINED ON THE NORTH BY THE GREY EAGLE CLAIM.
