  • QUARRYING BEGAN IN 1925 AND PRODUCTION ACHIEVED THE FOLLOWING MARCH; STILL ACTIVE IN 1955. PRODUCES JETTY STONE AND CRUSHED STONE FOR PAVING; ROCK DUST AND A PORTION OF THE COARSER AGGREGATE ARE UTILIZED IN AN ASPHALT BATCH MIXING PLANT.
