  • GEOL.DESC: ABNORMAL RADIOACTIVITY AMT. 10X BACKGROUND AT GREEN BOY CLAIM, IS ASSOCIATED WITH A BRECCIATED AND ALTERED SHEAR ZONE IN GRANODIORITE OF JURASSIC AGE. MAXIMUM RADIOACTIVITY ON FLORISTON CLAIMS IN A NARROW FAULT ZONE IN GRANITIZED SEDIMENTS. IN THE GREEN BOY, METAZENNERITE (?) OCCURS AS MINUTE CAVITY FILLINGS IN THE ROCK; MANGANESE OXIDES AND FLUORITE ARE ALSO PRESENT IN THE VEIN. RICHEST SAMPLE CONTAINED 0.5% U3O8. THE HIGHEST GRADE SAMPLE ON FLORISTAN CLAIMS CONTAINED 0.13% U3O8. OTHER MINERALS CONSISTED OF A BLUE SODIC AMPHIBOLE AND MINOR AMTS. OF PYRITE, CHALCOPYRITE, AND MALACHITE.
