Economic information

Comments on the geologic information

  • GEOL.DESC: SILICEOUS MANGANIFEROUS ROCK IS ENCLOSED IN A HIGHLY QUARTZOSE COARSE GRAINED QUARTZ-MICA SCHIST. SCHIST AND MARBLE EXPOSED ARE PROBABLY ROOF PENDANTS IN THE GRANITE THAT UNDERLIES MOST OF THE AREA. THE SCHIST STRIKES GENERALLY TO THE N. E. AND DIPS STEEPLY TO THE S. E. MANGANESE OXIDE STAINS ARE MOST HARD PSILOMELANE AND SOME SOFT BLACK OXIDE.
