Comments on development

  • NO ACTIVITY AT TIME OF EXAMINATION IN 1986, BUT DRILLING HAS OCCURRED IN THE AREA WITHIN THE PAST 5 YEARS. REMNANTS OF OLD CABIN AND VESTIGES OF A ROAD FROM WEST CAN BE SEEN.

Deposit ADIT FOLLOWS VEIN IN ALTERED ANDESITE. IRON-STAINED QUARTZ STRINGERS AND BLEACHED, ARGILLIZED GOUGE FILL THE 14-INCH VEIN. SAMPLE FROM VEIN WAS IN PART VUGGY WITH OPEN SPACE FILLINGS AND MN OXIDE COATINGS. MINERALIZATION INCLUDES CLOTS OF GALENA AND GRAY WISPY STREAKS OF UNIDENTIFIED SULFIDES. OTHER NEARBY WORKINGS EXPLORE NARROW VEINS IN SHEARS.
