  • OPENING 1 IS 10X12 FEET BY FOUR DEEP, 15 FEET ABOVE THE CREEK (VERTICALLY). OPENING 2 IS UPSTREAM BY 300 FEET NW FROM 1, AND IS A SHAFT 28 FEET DEEP WITH ALTERNATING LAYERS OF DOLOMITE & TALLOW CLAY. ORE FROM CLAY IS CHIEFLY SMITHSONITE. OTHERWISE NO ORE IN SHAFT SAVE FROM THE BOTTOM, WHICH IS RICH IN SMITHSONITE. OPENING 3 IS ON THE HILLSIDE 6 FEET ABOVE LEVEL AND 150 FEET NORTH OF NO. 2, AND IS AN OPEN CUT 12X18 FEET BY 5 DEEP. ORE IS CHIEFLY SMITHSONITE.
