  • WHEN EXAMINED IN 1892, THE WORK DONE CONSISTED OF STRIPPINGS OR OPEN CUTS IN SANDSTONES, QUARTZITES AND CHERTS; BUT LITTLE OF THE SOLID ROCK HAS BEEN BLASTED OUT. WORKINGS ARE ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE HOLLOW BETWEEN THE ORDOVICIAN AND EARLY MISSISSIPPIAN BEDS.
