PHOSPHORITES PRESERVED USUALLY IN THE SYNCLINAL BASINS FORMED BY INTERSECTION OF FAULTS AND FOLD STRUCTURES. PHOSPHORITE UNIT OF MISHASH FORMATION MAY CONTAIN UP TO 5 PHOSPHATE SEAMS (0-IV). TOTAL SEQUENCE IS FOUND IN NAHAL ZIN. BED 0 IS 1,8 M THICK AND IS OVERLAIN BY 2,5 M BARREN CHALK ABOVE FOLLOWS AN ALTERNANCE OF 3 PHOSPHATE BEDS (0.6-1.3 M THICK) WITH FLINT, CLAY, LIMESTONE AND CHERT. THE MAIN PHOSPHATE BED (IV) FOLLOWS ABOVE THE LAST CONTINUOUS CHERT HORIZON, IT IS OVERLAIN BY LIMESTONES, CHALKS AND MARLS
