  • GEOL.DESC: LAYER OF SILICEOUS MANGANESE ORE AND MANGANESE BEARING CHERT IN THIN-BEDDED RED CHERT AND SHALE, STRIKING N 80 E AND DIPPING 65 TO 75 S. ORE IS PATCHES AND VEINLETS IN CHERT WHICH IS VEINED BY QUARTZ AND BRECCIATED. PSILOMELANE ZONE IS 2 TO 8 INCHES WIDE. THE SECOND LOCALITY HAS PYROLUSITE VEINS, AND MALACHITE STAINS.
