  • GEOL.DESC: BOULDERS OF BLACK OXIDE ORE IN PIT, PROBABLY IN PLACE. WELL BEDDED RED AND BROWN CHERT WITH SHALE PARTINGS IS EXPOSED. GREENSTONE IS ALSO EXPOSED IN THE AREA. ORE IN FLOAT IS HIGH GRADE BLACK OXIDE, AND SOME NEOTOCITE CUT BY RHODOCHROSITE VEINLETS.

  • NO PRODUCTION. IDLE. PROBABLY 5 OR 10 TONS OF ORE IN SIGHT; SOME IS HIGH-GRADE BLACK OXIDE ORE CONTAINING SMALL CORES AND PATCHES OF WHITE SILICA. A SAMPLE OF THE BLACK OXIDE ORE CONTAINED 56.3 PERCENT MANGANESE AND 9.2 PERCENT SILICA.
