Comments on development

  • DICK MOODY OF DELTA ORIGINALLY STAKED THE CLAIMS. HE THEN LEASED THEM TO BRUSH-WELLMAN IN 1976. BRUSH-WELLMAN DECIDED THAT THE DEPOSIT WAS NOT ECONOMIC AT THE TIME AND RETURNED THE CLAIMS TO MOODY. IN 1985, EMERY ENERGY INC. ACQUIRED THE MOODY BERYLLIUM CORP., AND THE DEPOSIT. IN 1987, THE COMPANY CHANGED ITS NAME TO BERYLLIUM INTERNATIONAL CORP. AND LEASED ITS CLAIMS TO COMINCO AMERICANINC. WHO EVALUATED THE PROPERTY AND DID A FEASIBILITY STUDY IN 1988. NO MINING PLANS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED AS OF 3-89

Deposit DEPOSIT IS A REPLACEMENT OF THE BERYLLIUM TUFF MEMBER OF THE SPOR MOUNTAIN FORMATION. BE TRANSPORTED IN HYDROTHERMAL SOLUTIONS AS A FLUORIDE COMPLEX AND DEPOSITED UPON PRECIPITATION OF FLUORITE REPLACING DOLOMITE IN THE TUFF.
