Deposit THE ORE OCCURS AS NODULES FORMING IRREGULAR POCKETS LARGELY IN SOFT SHALE AS A REPLACEMENT ALONG BEDDING PLANES. THE STOPE IS LOCATED IN SANDSTONE AND SHALES OF THE UPPER CLASTIC MEMBER OF THE SANDIA FORMATION OF THE MAGDELENA GROUP, ALONG A ZONE OF BRECCIA THAT CONTAINS NUMEROUS AND OFTEN LARGE-SIZED LIMESTONE BOULDERS.
