Deposit MOLYBDENITE AND POWELLITE OCCUR WITH SCHEELITE IN TACTITIZED LIMESTONE IN CONTACT WITH QUARTZ MONZONITE
Deposit NO PRODUCTION OF TUNGSTEN HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY RECORDED. THE BATHOLITH MINE IS JUST SOUTHWEST OF COON CREEK SUMMIT ON THE CHARLESTON-JARBIDGE ROAD. SOME SCHEELITE HAS BEEN PRODUCED FROM THE OPEN PITS THAT MAKE UP THE MINE. MOLYBDENITE & POMELLITE OCCUR WITH SCHEELITE IN TACTITIZED LIMESTONE IN CONTACT WITH QUARTZ MONZONITE. IT IS NOT CLEAR WHETHER THE QUARTZ MONZONITE IS PART OF THE COFFEEPOT STOCK OR AN OUTLIER, AS MUCH OF THE AREA IS COVERED BY GLACIAL DEBRIS. ; INFO.SRC : 2 UNPUB REPT
