  • LOWER SECTION CONSISTS OF CRETACEOUS MARINE LIMESTONES (BEDDING: N 55 E, 40 SE), COVERED BY ANDESITE FLOWS CAPPED WITH VOLCANIC SANDSTONE, AND INTRUDED BY POST-CRETACEOUS GRANITES AND APLITE DIKES CROSSCUT BY DIABASE DIKES. UPPER SECTION CONSISTS MAINLY OF DACITE FLOWS OVERLAIN BY YOUNGER ANDESITE FLOWS AND CAPPED BY RHYOLITES. RHYOLITE TUFFS FORM INTERMEDIATE CAPS BETWEEN DACITES, ANDESITES AND RHYOLITES. ENTIRE SECTION IS COVERED BY PLEISTOCENE(?) AMYGDALOIDAL BASALT AND QUATERNARY CONGLOMERATES MIXED WITH ALLUVIAL SEDIMENTS.

(2) CU-AG-PB +/- AU MINERALIZATION IN QUARTZ VEINS ASSOCIATED WITH SIMILARLY MINERALIZED DIABASE PORPHYRY DIKES. VEINS CROSSCUT LIMESTONE/GRANITE CONTACT AT ABOUT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE. DISSEMINATED CHALCOPYRITE FOUND IN GRANITE.
