  • SCHEELITE DISEMINATED WITHIN QUARTZ VEINS, DEPOSIT OCCURS ON UPPER PLATE OF PROBABLE THRUST FAULT, SEVERAL EAST-WEST FRACTURES CROSS-CUT THE BRECCIATED ZONE. POSSIBLE INTRUSIVE AT DEPTH OF 450 FT. BRECCIA ZONE CONSISTS OF SILICEOUS LIMESTONE FRAGMENTS CEMENTED IN A SILICA-IRON-OXIDE MATRIX. THRUST (?) FAULT IS A POSSIBLE DECOLLEMENT ALONG WHICH CAMBRIAN SEDIMENTARY ROCKS WORE EMPLACED OVER TERTTARY VOLCANIC RX.

Deposit DEPOSITS OCCUR IN BRECCIATED ZONES AND VEINS. SCHEELITE IS EXTREMELY FINE-GRAINED AND NEARLY ALL OF IT IS IN THE FRAGMENTS OF VEIN QUARTZ. BECAUSE OF THE FINE GRAINED NATURE OF THE SCHEELITE, WHOLE PIECES OF QUARTZ FLUORESCE IN UV LIGHT EVEN THOUGH TOTAL WO3 CONTENT IS NOT HIGH. BRECCIA ZONE CONTAINS LARGE PODS OF COARSE CRYSTALLINE WHITE CALCITE 2-3 FT ACROSS. SEVERAL SMALL E-W FRACTURES CUT THE ZONE AT AN ANGLE. W OCCURS IN THE QUARTZ GANGUE AS WELL AS IN THE GANGUE MATERIAL.
