Deposit THE LAKE HAS A SURFACE SALT CRUST AND ABOUT 100 FEET OF BRINE-SATURATED SALT CONTAINING KCL AND BROMIDES AS WELL AS BORAX. BRINE AVE 0.23% B2O3. DEPOSITS ARE PROBABLY SIMILAR TO SEALES LAKE IN THE U.S. THE DRY LAKE BED COVERS AN AREA OF 115 SQ KM AND CONTAINS SEVERAL HORIZONS, OF WHICH THE 2ND AND 4TH CONTAIN BORATE MINERALS. BOTH MASSIVE AND DISSEMINATED ORE OCCURS (MASSIVE CONTAINS 25% B2O3, DISSEMINATED CONTAINS 2-5% B2O3).
Deposit THIS RECORD CONTAINS DATA FROM DUPLICATE RECORD I003031 OF G.J. ORRIS WHICH HAS BEEN DELETED FROM MAIN MRDS.
