  • MOST OF THE ORE MINED CAME FROM THE LARGEST KNOWN OREBODY WHICH WAS OPENED BY A 75-FOOT SHAFT, A 50-FOOT DRIFT, AND 2 STOPES TO THE SURFACE. THE ORE CONTAINED 0.5 TO 0.75% WO3. IN 1941 THE OWNERS BUILT A SMALL MILL AT TOY AND TREATED ABOUT 2000 TONS OF ORE. THE PROPERTY, INCLUDING THE MILL, WAS LEASED TO UNITED TUNGSTEN MINES LTD IN 1942 AND ABOUT 1000 TONS ORE WERE TREATED YIELDING ANOTHER 250-300 UNITS WO3.

Deposit A LITTLE SCHEELITE IS PRESENT IN ALMOST EVERY OPENING THAT EXPOSES THE QUARTZ MONZONITE PLUTON CONTACT AND IN A FEW PLACES, SMALL OREBODIES CONTAINING A FEW TENS OR HUNDREDS OF TONS ARE FOUND.
