  • WORKINGS INCLUDE SEVERAL OPEN CUTS, THE LARGEST OF WHICH IS ABOUT 30.5 M (100 FT) LONG, 6.1 M (20 FT) WIDE, AND 6.1 M (20 FT) DEEP.

  • MINE WAS ORIGINALLY WORKED IN THE 1880'S BY JOSEPH HARRISON AND REWORKED BY LIAS HONAKER IN 1906. THE BARITE RECOVERED DURING THE LAST OPERATION WAS MILLED AT THE PLANT OF THE CLINCH VALLEY BARYTES COMPANY ALONG THE CLINCH RIVER NEAR BLACKFORD.
