| Deposit | DEPOSIT IS COMPOSED OF RELATIVELY SOUND DUNITE AND SAXONITE. MOST OF THE SAXONITE AND ALTERATION MINERALS ARE SEGREGATED NEAR INTERIOR FAULTS AND THE BORDERS OF THE BODY. MUCH OF THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF LIGHT GREEN, COARSE-GRAINED, FRIABLE DUNITE CONTAINING FEW ACCESSORY MINERALS WITH LITTLE VISIBLE SERPENTINIZATION. AOBUT 25% OF DEPOSIT IS COARSE-GRAINED AND LIGHT GREEN SAXONITE CONTAINING SPOTS OF TALC. ZONES OF CHROMITE UP TO 3 FT WIDE AND SEVERAL TIMES THAT LENGTH ARE FOUND NEAR THE BORDERS OF THE COARSE-TEXTURED DUNITE. THE DEPOSIT IS BROKEN INTO LARGE BLOCKS BY NUMEROUS FAULTS AND JOINTS. LONG AXIS OF THE DUNITE BODY TRENDS N-S |
