  • ONE OF THE IMPORTANT EARLY-DAY LODE MINES, PRODUCING ORE AVERAGING AS HIGH AS $40 PER TON IN THE 1860'S. OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY UNTIL LATE 1890'S WHEN EXTENSIVE DEVELOPMENT WORK WAS DONE AND NEW MILL ERECTED. AFTER THIS WORK OPERATED UNTIL 1914; IDLE SINCE. TOTAL PRODUCTION WAS IN EXCESS OF $2,500,000, BEFORE ITS SALE TO SO. EUREKA MNG. CO. HOLDINGS OF 283 ACRES. THIS MINE WAS CONNECTED WITH THE SOUTH EUREKA MINE ON THE 1800 FT. LEVEL.
