  • ORE MINED FROM CROSSCUT FOR DISTANCE OF 30-FT. ON SUNRISE WORKINGS AVG. $2.10/TON IN GOLD. SOME HIGH-GRADE ORE WAS EXTRACTED FROM UPPER TUNNEL. POCKET REPORTED TO HAVE YIELDED $600 IN GOLD. 2 HIGH-GRADE POCKETS WERE MINED ON 5-IN. VEIN, 1500 FT. WEST OF MAIN WORKINGS. 5 TONS OF HIGH-GRADE ORE WAS TREATED IN SMALL MILL NEAR HIGHWAY. NO SPECIFIC PRODUCTION RECORDS FOUND.

THE LOWER OR NO. 1 TUNNEL DRIVEN S. 80 DEG W., 275 FT. ABOUT 135 FT. WEST OF THE PORTAL, CROSSCUT DRIVEN S. 10 DEG W. 60 FT. AT 40 FT. IN ELEVATION ABOVE THIS TUNNEL, ANOTHER TUNNEL DRIVEN WEST 100 FT. AT 40 FT. IN ELEVATION ABOVE NO. 2 TUNNEL, NO. 3 TUNNEL DRIVEN WEST 75 FT., AND NO. 4 TUNNEL 125 FT. IN LENGTH. ABOUT 1500 FT. WEST OF THESE WORKINGS, A SHAFT HAS BEEN SUNK ON A QUARTZ VEIN 5 IN. IN WIDTH ON AN INCLINATION OF 40 DEG TO A DEPTH OF 150 FT.
