  • OPERATED IN 1940-41 BY THE NEW DEAL LEASING CO., IN 1941 BY THE SCHEELITE LEASING CO., AND IN 1942 BY THE VIRDOT DEVELOPMENT CO. THE TONY PROSPECT WAS OPERATED BY TUNGSTEN METAL CORP IN 1940-1941. A LITTLE ORE WAS MINED IN 1956-1957.

Deposit SCHEELITE OCCURS FINELY DISSEMINATED IN THE QUARTZ VEINS AND SPARSELY IN ADJACENT WALLROCK. TONY VEIN IS 200 FT LONG IN OUTCROP WITH VERY FINE-GRAINED SCHEELITE. TONY PROSPECT IS A SHEAR ZONE FILLED WITH BRECCIA, GOUGE, QUARTZ, AND CALCITE VEINLETS. TONY VEIN IS 1.67 FT WIDE.
