Deposit THE DEPOSIT IS V-SHAPED WITH THE ORE OCCURRING ON THE HANGING WALL. THE FOOTWALL IS COMPOSED OF BARREN QUARTZ. FIRST STAKED IN 1859, BETWEEN CROWN POINT AND YELLOW JACKET CLAIMS. PRODUCTION WAS SPORADIC TO 1896 WHEN ALL COMMERCIAL ORE HAD BEEN EXTRACTED. CURRENTLY TRAVERSED BY HOUSTON OIL AND MINERALS' OPEN PIT OPERATIONS ; INFO.SRC : 1 PUB LIT
