General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit SCHEELITE-BEARING TACTITE OCCURS ALONG AN ALMOST E-W CONTACT ZONE BETWEEN GRAODIORITE (SOUTH) AND METAMORPHIC ROCKS (NORTH). PROSPECTING AND MINING HAVE OCCURRED ALONG A VERTICAL ENE SHEAR ZONE THAT APPEARS TO PARALLEL THE IGNEOUS CONTACT. NUMEROUS APLITE DIKES (N 60 E, 90) ARE PRESENT IN THE CONTACT AREA. MOST ORE RANGED FROM 0.5 TO 1.0% WO3. AT THE LOWER WESTERN SHAFT, THE SILICATED PORTION OF THE CONTACT ZONE IS NO MORE THAN 3-4 FT THICK AND CONSISTS OF SKARN CONTAINING EPIDOTE, GARNET AND CALCITE WITH MINOR SCHEELITE.
