  • OUTCROPS OF THE CONSOLIDATED ROCK HAVE A SAND-SIZED REDDISH BROWN (10R5/6) MATRIX. THE CONGLOMERATE IS INTERBEDDED WITH SANDSTONE. THESE UNITS LIE BENEATH OUTCROPS OF YOUNGER BASALT AND HERE CONTAINS NO CLASTS OF BASALT.
