  • OWNED BY PAUL ANDERSON. PROSPECTED AND MINED FOR LITHIA BEFORE 1920; 15 TO 20 TONS STOCKPILED BUT NEVER SOLD; POOR QUALITY. MINED FOR MICA 1941, 1943, 1944, BY CONNECTICUT MICA AND MINING CO. VERTICAL PIT 52 FEET DEEP, 10 TO 15 FEET WIDE, HAS TWO DRIFTS 50 AND 30 FEET LONG NORTHWARD AND EASTWARD RESPECTIVELY. PEGMATITE ABOUT 90 FEET LONG, 30 FEET WIDE; STRIKES NORTHWARD WITH DIP MODERATELY EASTWARD. ADDITIONAL MICA QUARRY 400 FEET TO SE., OPEN PIT 55 FEET LONG. 6 TO 20 FEET WIDE, AND 40 FEET DEEP WITH UNDERGROUND CROSSCUT 13 FEET LONG, 9 FEET HIGH, AND 7 FEET WIDE. PEGMATITE ABOUT 100 FEET LONG, 10 TO 20 FEET WIDE WITH STRIKE N 10 DEG. WEST, DIP 65 DEG. NE.
