  • ACCORDING TO THE FOLIO REFERENCE THE SAND UNDERLIES THE CLAY AT TERRA COTTA. THE CLAY WAS USED TO MAKE TERRA-COTTA TILES AND THE SAND WAS USED AS A TEMPERING FOR THE CLAY AS WELL AS FOR MAKING SILICA BRICKS
