  • INFORMATION LACKING. TOPO SHOWS MAIN WATER FILLED QUARRY AS 600 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 200 FEET WIDE EAST TO WEST, WITH WORKING FACE MORE THAN 70 FEET TO THE EAST. TWO ADDITIONAL QUARRIES ARE LOCATED 1000 FEET EAST, AND 600 FEET SE. THE DRY EAST QUARRY IS 800 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 200 FEET WIDE EAST TO WEST, AND ABOUT 40 FEET DEEP; THE DRY SOUTHEAST QUARRY IS ABOUT 250 FEET LONG NORTH TO SOUTH, 75 FEET WIDE, AND 50 FEET DEEP. MEDIUM TO COARSE GRAINED MARBLE, PARTLY CALCITIC, PARTLY DOLOMITIC. MINOR LAYERS OF MICA SCHIST IN CALCITIC MARBLE.
