AND SUBSEQUENTLY BY THE VERONA MINING CO. (PICKANDS MATHER AND CO., AGENT). ACQUIRED IN 1934 FROM DETROIT AND MARQUETTE LAND CO. BY HANNA IRON ORE CO. AND HELD SINCE. THE VERONA MINING CO. HAD A PERMIT FROM THE HANNA IRON ORE CO. TO USE THE MINE IN OPERATING THE BERKSHIRE MINE, WHICH ADJOINS IT. NO SHIPMENTS SINCE 1916. UNDERGROUND.
