  • ONE OPEN CUT AND AT LEAST 10 PITS AND SHAFTS WERE SEEN IN 1981. THE OPENINGS AVERAGED 4.6 M (15 FT) IN DIAMETER AND UP TO 2.4 M (8 FT) DEEP. OTHERS OPENINGS SHOWN EXTENDING TO THE NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST ON THE LAND PLAT WERE NOT LOCATED. ONE TRENCH ABOUT 12 M (40 FT) LONG WAS ALSO SEEN.

  • PROPERTY WAS MINED IN 1836 OR BEFORE BASED ON AN 1836 LAND PLAT WHICH CONTAINS THE MINE. PRODUCTION IS UNDETERMINED, BUT IT WAS PROBABLY SMALL.
