THE MINES ARE ON BOTH THE SOUTHEAST AND NORTHWEST SIDES OF 691, NORTHWEST SIDE OF STATE ROAD 789, AND EAST AND WEST SIDES OF STATE ROAD 675, ALONG THE BASE OF THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF SINE MOUNTAIN AND ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF TIBBET KNOB. UTM COORDINATES FOR THE FOUR MAJOR MINE SITES ARE: N 4307400, E 699255: N4307780, E 699430: N 4308380, E 699780: N 4308750, E 699970.

  • IN 1982, WORKINGS CONSISTED OF SHAFTS, TUNNELS, PITS, OPEN CUTS, AND DUMPS. THE LARGEST SHAFT WAS 6 M (20 FT) SQUARE AND 2 M (6 FT) DEEP. ALL BUT ONE OF THE TUNNELS WERE CAVED, THE OPEN TUNNEL WAS PARTIALLY OPEN, BUT CONTAINED WATER. THE LARGEST OPEN CUT IS MORE OR LESS CONTINUOUS FOR A DISTANCE OF 122 TO 152 M (400 TO 500 FT), AND IS UP TO 4.6 M (15 FT) WIDE AND 3 M (10 FT) DEEP.
