  • ONE OPENING MADE IN 1873. IN 1879 TWO MORE SHAFTS WERE SUNK 100 YDS SW OF PRINCIPAL FOX HILL SHAFT. THE DEEPEST WAS 22 FEET. IN 1881 A SHAFT WAS SUNK A FEW YARDS SE OF OTHERS AND WAS ABANDONED AFTER REACHING 30 FEET
