  • TO 1925, WOLVERINE HAD PRODUCED THE FOURTH LARGEST AMOUNT OF COPPER FROM THE KEARSARGE AMYGDALOID. GRADE REPORTED WITH ANNUAL TOTALS ONLY.

  • AT WOLVERINE AND NORTH KEARSARGE MINES, THE UPPER LEVELS WERE RELATIVELY POOR AND THE INTERMEDIATE AND LOWER LEVELS WERE DECIDEDLY RICHER IN COPPER. KEARSARGE WAS ONE OF THE RICHEST LODES - ESPECIALLY NEAR HANGING WALL. LODE AVERAGES 6-13 FEET THICK IN AREA OF MINING ACTIVITY.

  • ECON.COM: OPERATED FROM JAN 1882 TO NOV 1884. REORGANIZED AS WOLVERINE COPPER MINING CO. IN AUG 1890; CONSOLIDATED WITH MOHAWK MINING CO, 16 AUG 1923. MINE CLOSED APR 1925.
