Deposit LIMESTONE IS MASSIVE AND WHITE. BARRA HONDA LIMESTONES OUTCROP IN A SERIES OF ISOLATED KNOLL-LIKE HILLS AROUND THE HEAD OF THE GOLFO DE NICOYA IN A TRIANGULAR AREA BETWEEN NICOYA IN THE WEST, COLORADO IN THE EAST, AND STRETCHING NORTHWARDS ALMOST TO LA GUINEA. THE LIMESTONE IS AN ALGAL BIOLITHITE VEINED BY CALCITE AND EXTENSIVELY BRECCIATED.
