  • GEOL.DESC: THE PAY GRAVEL IS ABOUT 100' WIDE; THE GRAVEL IS 20' DEEP, OF WHICH ABOUT 3' IS PAY DIRT; IT IS VERY COMPACT AND OCCASIONALLY CEMENTED. THE GOLD IS OF MEDIUM SIZE, WITH AN OCCASIONAL NUGGET; A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF BLACK SAND & PYRITE ACCOMPANIES THE GOLD. BEDROCK CONSISTS OF HARD & DECOMPOSED SLATE. THE CHANNEL IS CAPPED BY A BRECCIA OF ANDESITIC AND RHYOLITIC PEBBLES, WHICH IS OVERLAIN BY SURFACE GRAVELS. THE MINE MAKES ABOUT 25,000 GALLONS OF WATER A DAY.
