  • GEOL.DESC: LENS-LIKE PUMICE LAYER, 1-20' THICK, IS WELL EXPOSED IN OPEN PIT; SILICA SAND CONSTITUTES ABOUT 10% OF PUMICE LAYER. PUMICE IS WHITE AND OCCURS IN ANGULAR FRAGMENTS THAT RANGE FROM DUST-LIKE PARTICLES TO 8" IN DIAMETER.
