  • GEOL.DESC: MANGANIFEROUS QUARTZITE BED IS ENCLOSED IN SCHIST. THE BED IS FAULTED SO THAT THE NORTHERN PART DIPS 75 W, AND THE SOUTHERN PART DIPS 55 S. W. HIGHEST GRADE ORE IS ON 2 WALLS OF QUARTZITE LAYER. ORE CONTAINS RHODONITE, SPESSARTITE, AND BLACK OXIDE WITH SILICA BOTH INTERMIXED AND AS IRON STAINED SKELETONS FREE OF MANGANESE.
