Comments on the workings information

  • TWO VEINS HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED ON THE LOWER TUNNEL KNOWN AS FOOTWALL AND HANGING WALL VEINS. THE LOWER OR MAIN WORKING TUNNEL IS DRIVEN S 40 W, 1980 FT. AT 800 FT FROM THE PORTAL, A WINZE HAS BEEN SUNK ON THE FOOTWALL VEIN TO A DEPTH OF 200 FT. AT 165 FT BELOW THE COLLAR OF THE WINZE, A LEVEL HAS BEEN DRIVEN ON THE VEIN 100 FT TO THE NORTHEAST AND 180 FT TO THE SOUTHWEST. NEAR THE LOCATION OF THE WINZE A RAISE HAS BEEN PUT UP 95 FT TO NO. 4 TUNNEL. NO. 6 LOWER TUNNEL HAS BEEN ADVANCED A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 1980 FT. IN THE FACE OF THIS TUNNEL THERE IS A VEIN OF QUARTZ THREE FEET IN WIDTH. ABOUT 600 FT WOUTH OF WINZE, THERE IS A RAISE 122 FT. ABOVE TUNNEL IN THE FOOTWALL OF THE VEIN. AT 450 FT SOUTH OF THIS RAISE, A RAISE HAS BEEN PUT UP 117 FT INTERSECTING THE SUMNER TUNNEL LEVEL (NO. 3 TUNNEL). AT 150 FT SOUTH OF THIS RAISE, A WINZE IS SUNK ON THE VEIN 50 FT. WIDTH OF VEIN ENCOUNTERED IN WINZE SHOWS THREE FEET OF QUARTZ. WORKINGS ON THE VEIN ARE AS FOLLOWS: NO. 6 LOWER TUNNEL 1980 FT,
  • NO. 4 TUNNEL, 104 FT IN ELEVATION ABOVE NO. 5 775 FT, NO. 3 TUNNEL, 119 FT ABOVE N9. 5, 735 FT, NO. 2 TUNNEL, 145 FT ABOVE NO. 4, 450 FT. ON NO. 2 TUNNEL, WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST SLOPE OF THE HILL, THE MCGILL ORE-SHOOT IS STATED TO HAVE BEEN 280 FT LONG, WITH AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF 4 FT. THIS SHOOT WAS STOPED TO THE SURFACE A DISTANCE OF 150 FT. TUNNEL NO. 3 DEVELOPED THE TOM LANE ORE-SHOOT, WHICH IS STATED TO HAVE BEEN 160 FT. LONG, BY 120 FT. HIGH AND WITH AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF 4 FT. TUNNEL NO. 4 DEVELOPED THE HIGGINS ORE-SHOOT, WHICH WAS 500 FT LONG AND 150 FT HIGH, AVERAGE WIDTH BEING 4 FT. IN THE WINZE ON TUNNEL NO. 5 AN ORE-SHOOT 120 FT LONG BY 3 FT WIDE HAS BEEN DEVELOPED.
