| Deposit | SOUTH OF GOIANIA ERODED PARTS OF PLANALTO EXPOSES GRANITIC GNEISS. MINERALIZED AREA IS NEAR CONTACT OF GNEISS AND METASEDIMENTS. DEPOSIT OCCURS AS SEAMS PARALLEL TO GNEISSIC BANDING IN DEEPLY WEATHERED GNEISS. LARGEST SEAM IS ABOUT 10 CM THICK. THESE SEAMS ALSO CONTAIN USUAL AMOUNTS OF MAGNETITE AND GARNET. |
