Subject category Comment text
Deposit GOLD BEARING PLACERS OCCUR IN COARSE TERRACE GRAVELS OF TRIBUTARIES OF RIO TAQUARI ABOUT 5-7 KM EAST OF LIVRAMENTO DO BRUMADO. NONE OF THE PLACERS ARE NOW BEING WORKED, BUT HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST. THREE GRAINS OF GOLD WITH DIAMETERS OF 0.5MM WERE FOUND BY THE FIELD PARTY WHO MADE THIS REPORT BY PANNING IN AN AFTERNOON. NUMEROUS GOLD-BEARING QUARTZ VEINS CUT QUARTZITES OF THE SERRA DO SINCORA AND ARE BELIEVED TO BE THE SOURCE OF THE GOLD.
