  • GEOL.DESC: RED CHERTS WITH SHALE PARTINGS ON UPPER PART OF RIDGE ARE OFTEN STAINED BY MANGANESE OXIDE. LOWER PART OF RIDGE IS SERPENTINE WITH SOME GREENSTONE. SEVERAL BODIES OF SILICEOUS ORE ARE IN CHERT, CONTACTS APPARENTLY RESULTING FROM SHEARING AND FAULTING. ORE IS MAINLY SILICEOUS, WITH SOME MANGANESE OXIDE VEINLETS IN MASSIVE CHERT, AND SOME CHERT IS IMPREGNATED WITH MANGANESE OXIDE.
