  • MANY TIMES TUNNELS WERE DRIVEN AT THE BASE OF PITS TO AVOID OVERBURDEN REMOVAL. SEVERAL QUARRIES HAVE VERY SMALL WORKINGS DUE TO POOR STONE QUALITY (EDSON AND KLONDIKE).
