Deposit GENERALLY SW-DIPPING LOWER HERMOSA FM SANDSTONE, SHALE, AND LIMESTONE COVERED BY EXTENSIVE LANDSLIDES BUT BELOW ARE CUT BY BLACKHAWK FAULT, DOWNTHROWN ON NE. BLANKET REPLACEMENT ORE CONSISTS OF SOLID PYRITE, CELLULAR QUARTZ, LIMONITE, AND STREAKS OF PARTLY OXIDIZED SPHALERITE AND GALENA. BLANKET OFFSET ABOUT 8 FT BY BARREN FISSURE TRENDING N 80 W, 85 NE, AND FILLED WITH CRUSHED ROCK, QUARTZ, AND GOUGE. LOWER BLANKET OVERLIES SANDSTONE AND IS OVERLAIN BY SHALE; UPPER BLANKET LIES IN BRECCIATED SHALE.
