Deposit BENGAL WORKED BY STOPING AND SLICING, TULLY WORKED BY MILLIN. DEPTH OF BENGAL = 875 FT. SOFT, RED-BROWN, HIGH PHOSPHORUS. O A NEW SHAFT WAS BEING SUNK AT THE TIME OF PUBLICATION. UPON COMPLETION OF THIS SHAFT, THE MINE WAS TO BE CALLED CANNON. PRODUCTION WAS ONGOING AS OF 1950, TOTAL SHIPMENTS AT THAT T WERE 6,825,040 TONS.
