Deposit AS OF 1950 THIS WAS A PROPOSED MINE TO PRODUCE HIGH GRADE OR CONCENTRATION OF JASPER (HEMATITE IRON-FORMATION). BENEFICIA AND AGGLOMERATION PLANTS WERE BEING CONSTRUCTED, AND PRODUCT SCHEDULED TO BEGIN IN 1953. THE HUMBOLDT PELLET PLANT HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A GOLD MILL AND IS NOW (1991) PART OF THE ROPES MINE (SEQUENCE NUMBER 0261030124). THE ROPES MINE HAS BEEN FULLY EVALUATED, AND THE MILL IS DESCRIBED IN THE ROPES REPORT. THIS PROPERTY (0261030108) IS BEING LEFT IN THE MAS DATA BASE SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DESCRIBING THE HISTORICAL IRON OPERATION.
